Aeromines at MINES ParisTech Research Day
MINES ParisTech Research Day took place in Ecole des Mines de Paris on the 6th of July.
21 research projects were presented including Aeromines. Some of the biggest industrial companies were sponsoring the event such as EDF, Enersens, In Sun We Trust, Nutriset, Safran, Thales, Varel or Vinci.
Elie, Youssef and Alexandre introduced our new disruptive hybrid cloud platform for tailor made CFD simulations.
Aeromines at TERATEC 2017
The TERATEC Forum is a major event in France and Europe that brings together the best international experts in HPC, Simulation and Big Data. It reaffirms the strategic importance of these technologies for developing industrial competitiveness and innovation capacity.
To this occasion, we were invited by our partner IBM to present our new version and discuss how Cloud Computing made numerical simulations accessible for everyone, everywhere.
Aeromines website gets a facelift!
We are proud to announce our newly redesigned website. The new design highlights several areas that we wanted prominently displayed, helping our customers find what they are looking for easily. Our development team implemented frontend and backend features that allow us to modify ad add information on Aeromines website seamlessly. We are still working on several features such as the App Catalog which will be announced shortly.
3D CFD benchmark of flow around parallelepiped
Flow around a three-dimensional parallelepiped for a Reynolds number of $10^6$ for which asymmetries and time-dependence develop, resulting in the famous Von Karmann vortex street. Adaptive mesh.
3D CFD benchmark of flow around cylinder
Flow around a three-dimensional circular cylinder for a Reynolds number of $10^6$ for which asymmetries and time-dependence develop, resulting in the famous Von Karmann vortex street. Adaptive mesh is displayed on the slice.

Conference: The Fourth International Conference on Parallel, Distributed, Grid and Cloud Computing for Engineering
Paper: E. Hachem, J. Veysset, R. Klein, A. Boilley and Y. Mesri, Immersed Methods and Parallel Anisotropic Mesh Adaptation to Simplify the Simulation Setup using the Cloud
Session: Special Session - Engineering Computations in the Cloud
Speaking at IBM InterConnect 2015 in Las Vegas
Elie Hachem & Romain Klein gave a talk about Building a Dynamic, Collaborative, High-Performance and Data-Aware Hybrid Cloud Environment.
A critical component of any hybrid cloud implementation is the transfer of workloads and data between on-premise and cloud resources. However, data transfer can become a significant bottleneck, impacting the feasibility of hybrid cloud for time-sensitive workloads. To improve throughput, organizations need to separate data transfers from the workloads that require them. During this session, we will discuss how IBM Platform LSF data-aware scheduling improves throughput and minimizes wasted compute cycles. We will provide a demonstration of how IBM Platform Data Manager for IBM Platform LSF automates the transfer of data between clusters and the cloud, storing frequently used data in a smart, managed cache closer to compute resources.
Invitation for IBM InterConnect 2015
Romain Klein and Elie Hachem are invited to IBM InterConnect 2015 in Las Vegas, Nevada, US at the Mandalay Bay and MGM Grand Hotels.
They will present Aeromines at the Breakout session: Building a Dynamic, Collaborative, High-Performance and Data-Aware Hybrid Cloud Environment.

Elie Hachem and Romain Klein were interviewed by Le Monde (French daily evening newspaper) about the new innovative cloud platform: Aeromines.
Aeromines collaboration with IBM
Aeromines started deploying Industrial applications using IBM Cloud Services.
High Performance Computing Cloud (HPC Cloud) is IBM’s hybrid cloud offering for the enterprise, combining cutting edge technology and up-to-date security with unlimited storage, encrypted resources and networking tools, and scalable computing power that can use any number of parallel servers according to demand. This on-demand capability makes HPC Cloud a cost-effective solution for industries that have complex software, modelling or data processing needs.
